The fierce feminine: what is it and how can we access it?

Lama Tsultrim Allione, ordained as one of the first Western Buddhist nuns and recognized as the reincarnation of eleventh-century Tibetan Yogini, visited The Assemblage NoMad to discuss the mysterious and powerful Buddhist concept that she believes is lacking in modern culture.

In this conversation, the author discusses her recent book Wisdom Rising: Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine and shares practical wisdom on harnessing the feminine as a self-transformation mechanism, particularly in the era of #MeToo and Time’s Up.

“The fierce feminine is what we’re seeing these movements….now we’re seeing a different face of women. But the beautiful thing about it is that even though it’s fierce, there’s humor in it, there’s joy in it. It’s not aggressive,” she says of events like the Women’s March.
